$6 Panties at Victoria Secret In Store Only

Now as a disclaimer I have to say that I am not usually a big fan of Victoria's Secret only because of their prices. I think they are over priced for the products they sell and you are only paying for the name not the quality. Now with that said, when they have a sale, I am all for taking advantage of it. Right now, in stores only, they are offering their Sexy Little Cheeky panties for just $6 and they are usually $14.50. Now when something is more than 50% off, I am all for it!!  This sale is only good until 10/25/15 so hurry on in!!

Decor Steals: An amazing place to find rustic decor for amazing prices.

Decor steals is a daily deal site that offers rustic, farmhouse decor for awesome prices. Each day at 10 am EST they put up new deals. I have fallen in love with this site and have made 6 purchases so far. We recently remodeled our kitchen with a rustic look and redid our living room the same way. We are slowly going room to room and I am totally in love with the results so far.
Two of the latest pieces I purchased from Decor steals are currently sitting in my new kitchen working together beautifully.  I first purchased the rolling kitchen rack and then the burlap feed sack bags. Once I received them I knew I had to use them together.
Today my wonderful hubby put the cart together and it was love at first site.  I then looked at my new set of 3 feed sack bags and knew just what to do with them. I used the largest bag to hold my potatoes, the medium sized one for apples and the smallest one for my onions. It looks awesome together!
I have bought several other pieces but I believe these two are my favorites. I cannot wait to place some other decor items on the cart as well! Look out Decor Steals, you have a fan for life!!

Welcome to A Woman's Work Is Never Done.

I know you all have heard the old saying " A woman's Work Is Never Done". Well, I completely disagree! I believe a Woman's work is ALWAYS done! Whatever we set our minds to, we do it! We work from the minute we wake up in the morning til the minute we lay our overworked bodies and minds down on our pillows at night. Then the real fun begins because we all know that a woman's brain never stops working and we lay there in the dark thinking of everything we need to do the next day or worrying about something that happened during that day. It is only by the grace of God that we finally fall asleep somewhere during the night.
I used to think it was just me that was cursed with this nightly parade of images in my mind or the feeling of the weight of the world on my shoulders until I began to talk to many other women who had the same problem. So when I hear a woman's work is never done it really irritates me because I know it isn't true. We do a thousand things throughout the day and that doesn't even include going to an actual job.
Women refuse to let things go, we will break our backs to make sure everything gets done and everyone is happy. There have been times I have went to bed with dishes in the sink because I was just too tired to do them and it bothered me so much while I was laying there with the montage of daily events going through my head that I actually got up out of bed and did the dishes at 2 am.  My husband says I have a sickness but I know exactly what it is, it's called being a woman, mom and wife. It is something that is ingrained in the female psyche that we cannot escape. It's the nurturer in us, the take charge and get things done syndrome because we know that no one else is going to do it.
The hubby may TRY to help but we know he will never do things the way we want them or as good as we do it ourselves. Sound familiar? We know that if we want things done right, we have to do it ourselves. My hubby tries very hard but his work is just never up to my incredibly high standards and when he isn't looking I always redo what he just did. Does that sound familiar too?
So when I hear A woman's work is never done" is actually ticks me off because it implies that we do not finish what we start, or that we are lazy, or that we are inept. It makes me feel like the world devalues what we, as women, do every day. Women are amazing creations that give life and nurture it. We work full-time jobs outside of the home and then come home to a second full-time job. We are the masters of many occupations: wife, mother, nurse, teacher, cab driver, exterminators, playmates, maids, chefs, laundresses, valets, entertainment directors, coaches, decorators, handymen, and the list goes on and on. Then we are supposed to be sexy and strong for our men, we are expected to be all of the above for them as well as the kids but also never forget THEIR needs. We are expected to never be tired or not feeling well when the men of the home want or need something and we even do all of this when we are so sick that we should be in bed, resting but there is no rest for a mom, a woman.
And our job of super mom never ends. I have heard people say throughout the years things like, " I can't wait til my child's 18 or when my kids grow up I can actually have a life" This is complete and utter crap. My kids are now 23 and 26 years old and I have a 6 year old grandson. Believe me, it does not get easier when they grow up. Now instead of small, kid problems, you are dealing not only with your own adult problems, now you are dealing with your adult kids problems and drama. I cannot tell you how many times the hubby and I have been out for the evening, enjoying some well-needed time together and a phone will ring with the latest drama in one of their lives, or an "emergency" will arise that cuts our evening short.  As we are driving to whichever ones home that needs us that day I am always thinking to myself " I thought I was supposed to be able to enjoy myself at this age" but, alas, it is not to be.
99% of the time they call mom, NOT dad. So even in my mid 40's, my work is still ongoing. I still find myself being, referee, advice giver, babysitter and nurse. My needs still take a back seat to everyone Else's and I do not see an  end in sight.
Now it may not sound like it but I wouldn't have it any other way. My husband, kids and grand baby are my life. I would never turn my back on any of them and even though I am dealing with major health issues, I still put all of them before myself, sometimes even at the cost of causing myself more health issues. I don't think no is in my vocabulary and this is the problem with most women, we don't know how to say no. My life would be so much easier if I could just utter these two simple letters but I just don't seem capable of doing it. Sound familiar?
Now this blog is to be about us!! It is for every woman out there that falls into bed, dog-tired. It is for every woman that puts off getting a hair cut or their nails done so that a child can go on a field trip that they are dying to go on. It is for every woman that hasn't bought a new piece of clothing in more years than they can even remember so that their children look amazing every day when they go to school. It is for every woman that rushes home after a long day and has to find something to nourish their family that will take less than 30 minutes to make. It is for every woman that, when alone, gets on her knees and prays for her family and worries that she isn't doing enough.
I want this blog to be able to help with all of those worries. I want to be able to give you super easy and quick recipes to make your time in the kitchen as painless as possible, fashion on the cheap so that we don't have to go without and never feel as gorgeous as we truly are. I want to show you deals that will save you money at the grocery store as well as the department store. I want to give you life hacks that make our busy, chaotic lives a little bit easier. I want to share with you some DIY tips and decorating ideas that won't break the bank. And most of all I want to invite all of you amazing, domestic divas a chance to share your well-earned knowledge with the rest of us super women.  Sit back and enjoy the ride!!
